Adventure on land and water

Mt Pleasant Sea Scouts is a Christchurch-based Sea Scout group, part of Scouts Aotearoa, running programmes for Keas, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers.

Who we are

We're a volunteer-run Sea Scout group based on the Mt Pleasant/Redcliffs side of Christchurch, offering young people a mix of Scouting activities - including boating, camping, tramping, and teamwork skills - in a fun, safe environment. We're proudly part of Scouts Aotearoa, New Zealand's national Scouting movement.

Scouting is organised by age group - here's where your child fits in.

Keas

Ages 5–8

Fun and friendship come first - games, crafts and outdoor adventures introduce our youngest members to Scouting.

Cubs

Ages 8–11

Challenge and fun in equal parts, with hikes, weekend camps and learning new skills.

Scouts

Ages 11–14

Building leadership and self-confidence through outdoor pursuits like sailing, camping, and adventurous expeditions.

Venturers

Ages 14–18

Older youth take the lead, planning and running their own hands-on activities and adventures.

All sections meet at the Den - Old School Reserve, Mount Pleasant.
